But I have often felt that he was a fair man with a specific bias. I don't agree often with much of his ideas, but alteast I always thought he was fair and gave credit where it was due and criticised when the actions deserved it.
But turns out that you are right, I have been naive indeed !!!

Bala..what you say is True...Left is no parogon of virtue, but atleast the same rules have to be applied to everyone. EKSI indeed :(

Bala, BNB
I personally believe that a deal which US took 1.5 years to pass, a deal which surely would have ramifications to our foreign policy over the next few decades, surely needs to be discussed as a national debate before it is signed.
To that extent the Left's role is important. It has brought the issue to the forefront. Whether we sign it or not, the common man atleast knows now that there is something called a hyde act and a 123 deal. That is the advantage of a democratic system. I am sure if the Left did not have the 60 seats, most of us would not know such things called 123 existed. Atmost it would have been a Prabhu Deva movie to many of us.

But there remain a few unanswered interesting questions, like why does a PM who has normally not taken seriously many serious issues, even humanitarian disasters like Vidarbha suicides, stake his government on this one. Maybe he really really believes this one is good for the Nation....Or maybe there is more to it than meets the eye.mutRupuLLihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10992215500004991542noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23208763.post-65692024980974795522007-08-27T07:31:00.000+05:302007-08-27T07:31:00.000+05:30Sridhar,Off-track but not entirely :)Left-bashing ...Sridhar,
Off-track but not entirely :)

Left-bashing "India-Shining" Supporter. It surprises me how much Cho is still considered neutral in many quarters - not his fault though; he has never hidden his preferences. This time around they have very few supporters - even hard core 'Frontliners' like Praful Bidwai are not very explicit in their support of the lefties. I haven't studied this issue in detail - so I will just stop here.BNBhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11246130496526919039noreply@blogger.com
